Should the default vial mass be the gross or net figure?
The calculator takes "vial mass (mg)" and treats it as peptide mass. §What the label mass means explains why that is usually wrong by 10% or so, but the field label does not.
Options: rename the field to "label mass", add a second optional field for peptide content, or leave it and rely on the section. I lean towards renaming plus a hint, because a second field invites the reader to enter a number they do not have. — — AnalyticalAnnie (talk) 13:22, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
Renaming is clearly right. Against the second field: peptide content is on a minority of certificates, and a blank optional field reads as "this does not matter" rather than "we do not know this". — — MolarMassMaeve (talk) 16:40, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

Dead space: delivered dose or vial yield?Done
The dead-space field currently reduces the number of doses the vial yields but not the delivered dose. That is correct for a primed syringe and wrong for an unprimed one, and the tool cannot know which the reader is doing.
Proposal: keep the current behaviour and state the assumption in the results panel. Modelling both cases would double the output for no gain. — — DeadSpaceDot (talk) 10:14, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
Agree. The warning that fires when dead space exceeds 20% of the dose volume already does the useful work, which is telling the reader that the number is large enough to matter. — — SyringeSybille (talk) 15:47, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
