Anonymous ordering: does it count as blinding?Resolved
Ordering under an unconnected name stops a supplier identifying the order. Is that blinding enough to describe as blind? — GroupBuyGalen (talk) 11:21, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
No. It removes one of three failure modes and leaves the purchaser still choosing the vial and still choosing whether to submit the result. Calling it blind would make the word useless. — BlindSampleBrid (talk) 14:55, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
Agreed. It is worth describing, precisely because people do it and think it settles the question. Describe it, name what it fixes, name what it does not. — ChainCustodyChad (talk) 08:44, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
Written that way: the paragraph now names what anonymous ordering removes and what it leaves untouched. ✓ Resolved — GroupBuyGalen (talk) 09:37, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
