Lowest tally on the wiki — how should that be handled?

This article reports the lowest reception average of the twenty. That is a factual statement about our own tally, but stating "the lowest" invites the reader to treat the tally as a ranking, which Project:Sourcing guidelines says it is not. — — BalanceBirdie (talk) 11:52, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Real tension. The figure has to be reported — suppressing it would be a worse distortion. The word "lowest" is what turns it into a ranking, and it could go without losing the figure. — — TallySheetTad (talk) 15:09, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Remove the superlative, keep the number, and keep the self-selection caveat adjacent to it. A reader who wants the comparison can make it; we should not make it for them in a sentence that reads as a verdict. — — NPOV_Nadia (talk) 10:31, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Standing note: what this article may not containResolved

Placing the standing note at the top of every supplier talk page so it does not have to be re-argued. Under Project:Vendor notability a supplier article may not contain: a price, an offer, a discount, a price list, any contact detail, or a shipping-outcome claim not attributed to a source.

Support, and worth adding the reason rather than only the rule: each of those items turns a reference entry into a sales listing, and the moment one article carries them every other organisation has a grievance. — — CoI_Corin (talk) 11:48, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
