Portal:Supply chain

From resin bead to vial

Introduction

A research peptide passes through synthesis, cleavage, preparative purification, lyophilisation, vialling, freight and repackaging before anyone reads a certificate about it. Each of those steps has a characteristic failure mode, and most quality problems observed downstream are attributable to one of them.

This portal follows that chain, and covers the organisations that operate parts of it.

Things you can do

  • Add measured yield figures to the synthesis articles where published sources exist.
  • Expand coverage of counterion exchange, which is currently only mentioned in passing.

Items here are deliberately small enough to finish in one sitting. See Project:Verifiability before adding sources.
