The name is generic to the point of being a claim: "Chinese Peptide Company" reads as a description of a category rather than an identifier. Editors have discussed whether an encyclopedia should use it as an article title at all, given the risk that a reader takes it as a generic reference; the conclusion was that the registered legal name is the registered legal name, and that a hatnote is the appropriate remedy.

The presence of a custom-synthesis line is the distinguishing catalogue feature. A supplier that will synthesise an arbitrary sequence is doing something different from one that lists a fixed range, and the two should not be described in the same terms.[2]
Independent testing record
[edit]Reports submitted on CPC material to July 2026 span a wider set of analytes than for most organisations covered here, including several sequences outside the incretin range. Reported area percent figures have been high, and in the subset where the certificate reported both purity and water, purchaser-computed peptide content figures have been consistent with the certificate's own arithmetic.[5][6]
